Renee Zellweger told Jay Leno about Kenny’s Uncle Butch. When they first met, he went up to her and said, “So, who are you supposed to be?”
Then he asked her, “Do you have a job or are you takin' the welfare?” Renée got a kick out of that. She said she had to tell him that she was
“technically, currently unemployed.” Here’s the kicker: Renée revealed that she “got a job” on Tuesday and that she couldn’t wait to call
Uncle Butch and share her good news.

Kenny Chesney is off the market! He tied the knot with Renee Zellweger in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands on Monday.
Apparently, she had him from Hello! Remember, she was in Jerry McGuire, and when Kenny saw the movie,
he was inspired to write one of his biggest songs.
It’s the first marriage for both of them. Kenny is 37, Renee is 36.
He’s from East Tennessee, and she’s from Katy, Texas, which is just outside Houston.
You can be reasonably sure that neither one is after the other’s money! She’s a three-time Oscar nominee,
and brought home one statuette for Cold Mountain. Kenny had the second-highest grossing tour last year after
several huge tours in a row… and he’s set to set a new high-mark this year. He has sold close to 20 million albums,
and won the CMA Entertainer of the Year Award this past November.
So how long have Kenny & Renee known each other? Well, they met on January 15th at the Concert of Hope tsunami
relief benefit where he was performing and she was answering phones. And Sunday, about 45 close friends and
family attended the 15 minute wedding ceremony.

During Kenny’s concert in Jacksonville this past Saturday night, he had a special delivery on stage.
It was a nice, cold margarita… delivered by Renee Zellweger… who also planted a kiss on his cheek.
Afterward, they were seen having lunch on Monday at a Chinese restaurant in Nashville. Renee and Katie… catfight!

Kenny Chesney spent his 37th birthday this past Saturday onstage in St. Paul.
Gretchen came out supposedly to sing a song with Kenny, but instead she sang
“Happy Birthday” to him Marilyn Monroe style.
Then she toasted him with a big ole fruity drink.
I mean GIGANTIC… like a foot across the mouth of the glass!
Both Kenny and Gretchen took a long pull off that glass before continuing with the show!

Kenny’s tour kicked off great for a guy with a gimpy ankle! It’s still taped up, but Kenny said, "My ankle held up really well both nights.
I can run, jump, two-step - and the folks who come to my show know what THAT means - everything we do, I can do as hard as I always have.
It's high intensity, and there's never a moment where I'm worrying about it."

Kenny's "Somewhere In The Sun" Tour finally hits the stage tomorrow night in Green Bay. You know, a Kenny tour is no
small undertaking.
Some numbers:
- Close to two miles of speaker cable
- A quarter-mile of trussing supports 70,000 pounds of suspended equipment
- Three vertical video screens
- 198 fully moving lights
- 96 rigging points
- 126 remote controlled amplifiers
- A 240-foot wide stage (the average stage is 60 feet)
- Touring Crew of 89 includes a Culinary Staff of nine
- Every day, lunch for 160 and dinner for 140
The catering team alone has their own bus. And Kenny loves having them on hand to serve up good food! He said,
“It just gives us consistency. It really kicks up that family feeling we have out here.
I really like that notion of camaraderie and a team. The more players you've got rolling with you,
the more of that you have."
