Craig Morgan

Craig's Official Website
4.26.2005 Craig Morgan is staying busy! He’s booked to return to Iraq in December, and he’s planning to do a few shows with long-bearded rockers ZZ Top this year.
4.13.2005 Craig was an EMT at age 19, then joined the army. While he was stationed in Korea, he won a number of singing and songwriting competitions. When he got out of the army, he supported his family for a while in Nashville as a demo singer, a sheriff's deputy, a department store plainclothes security guard, a construction worker, and even a Wal-Mart employee! Well, he can hang up the blue Wal-Mart vest... That's What I Love About Sundays has been #1 for Four Weeks now!
4.11.2005 This is really Craig Morgan’s third album, although almost no one heard his first album. Not that it wasn't of note. It’s just that Craig’s label, Atlantic Records, closed their doors in 2000 right after they released his album. So the label had no incentive to promote it, or for stores to stock it. If you own a copy, that is a real rarity!

The only one of Craig's that anyone saw until recently was 2003’s “I Love It,” which produced the huge hit "Almost Home." And now his “My Kind of Livin’” is keeping Craig in beans and cornbread with four weeks at #1 with "What I Like About Sunday."

4.4.2005 That is not only Craig Morgan’s first Number One song, it has now hung onto the top spot for a third week in a row! Craig is just floored by going through the roof! Craig said,
“I am so excited about having my first number one record, and to have it stay in the top spot for three weeks now is more than I could have ever dreamed of happening.”

In the first two weeks, he’s had sales of 37,000. That’s a pretty good running start!

3.21.2005 Craig Morgan is having a big time of it with his sophomore outing, My Kind of Livin'. Its first-week sales outsold his first album by seven times! Soundscan tracked 22,000 sales, good enough for #7 on their chart.

Meanwhile, What I Love About Sundays is making its mark:

  • It's gone #1 in both Radio & Records and Billboard.
  • This is Craig Morgan's FIRST #1 song!
  • Furthermore, Craig also produced this song.
  • It's also the first #1 for his record label, Broken Bow Records.
Whew. Is his head spinning? You bet it is! According to Andy Griggs, when you call Craig's phone, the message on his voicemail is "I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me a #1 record. Thank you so much. Leave a message." So what kind of message did Andy Griggs leave for Craig? He said,
"Craig's all business. He's the nicest guy, but he's always thinking business. When I heard that on his message, I didn't know what to say. I just hung up."

3.18.2005 As this year's CMA Music Festival draws near, plans for the 38th annual International Fan Club Organization (IFCO) Fun Fest Show have been announced.

Craig Morgan will be the featured headliner when the show hits the stage at the Historic Ryman Auditorium on June 7th.

Craig will be joined by Aaron Lines, Trick Pony, Mark Wills, and Jimmy Wayne, with more acts to be announced shortly.
